SRU Strength & Conditioning Coach (Consultant)
Role: Strength & Conditioning Head Coach
Duration: 1st Apr 2018 to 31st Mar 2019 (12 months)
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Review, Planning, Implementation & Reporting of National Team S&C programmes (M7s, W7s, U20 M7s, U20 W7s, M15s , W15s& U19 M15s – 7 teams)
- Work closely with respective team Head coaches to design season calendar
- Attend & contribute to all HP Staff meetings as required
- Design & deliver S&C sessions for all National teams (Prioritized for team in season)
- Design & implementation of S&C testing & reporting for all National teams (Twice per team)
- Introduce & oversee phase specific training for all National teams
- Support SRU in delivery of L1 S&C courses to Schools & Clubs (Low season)
- Reports to Technical Director
REQUIREMENTS
- World Rugby Level 2 Strength & Conditioning Coach accreditation (Or equivalent)
- Broad base of S&C Knowledge (Programmes, Calendars, Tournaments, Logistics)
- IT & Communication Skills
- Knowledge of: GPS/AMS/Video Analysis/Bio Mechanics
- Leadership Skills
- Presentation, Organizational & Reporting Skills
- Team Player & Works well under pressure
- Based in Singapore
Qualifications & Experience
- Planning, Implementation & Review of National Team S&C programmes (M7s, W7s, U20 M7s, U20 W7s, M15s, W15s & U19 M15s – 6 teams)
Documentation & timely submission for:
National Team S&C programmes
S&C Training Session plans (Based on testing)
Collation and submission of testing results
Tracking of National players S&C performances
S&C logistic budget – as appropriate
Submission of National team S&C reports (Weekly, Monthly / Campaign) - Work closely with respective team Head coaches to design season calendar
- Attend & contribute to all HP Staff meetings as required
- Conduct phase specific training for all 7s National teams
- Support SRU in delivery of L1 S&C courses to Schools & Clubs (Low season)
- Reports to Technical Director
