Gaspar will Captain the squad and will be the most experienced member with 22 caps. The team is coached by Technical Director Inoke Afeaki and assistant coach Casey Mees.

The Singapore Team, who was recently promoted back into Division 1 after Kazakhstan’s last minute withdrawal, will relish at a second chance to stake claim in the Division. Singapore was relegated last year after a controversial 20-17 lost to Philippines in extra time and 32-12 lost to Kazakhstan in the third place playoffs. The team’s aim is to stay in Division 1 for another year.

“This is a great opportunity for our team to stake our claim in Division 1 and to do the best that they can. The team that has been selected has that right blend of passion, experience and determination and we know they will do Singapore proud no matter the circumstances.. “ Noted Jonathan Leow, Vice President of SRU.
