A campaign to FEED
In partnership with South West Community Development Council , Singapore Rugby Union and JR Food Pte Ltd.
Our campaign seeks to answer one basic need – FOOD, in these challenging times. Since we started in early Apr 2020, our campaign has raised S$100,000, delivered 20,000 meals and fed over 4500 individuals in need.
Our last drop of 6000 meals was just completed recently with Central Community Development Council, with the support of Minister Josephine Teo and Mayor Denise Phua, in celebration of our nation’s 55th birthday. We fed 1500 households in need in 3 major areas of Central CDC, with the help of volunteers from the Singapore Rugby Union. Our campaign garnered 11 media coverage, from MediaCorp to all the major newspapers, thanks to all our media friends and their strong support.
Due to the overwhelming response of the residents whom we have helped in Central CDC, we have been approached by SW CDC, under the leadership of Mayor Low Yen Ling, to extend the same help to their residents in need. We will be raising another 6000 meals for 1500 households in the SW CDC areas and these meals will be distributed over period of 6 weeks starting in Nov leading up to the festive cheer of Christmas.
Christmas is all about giving with love. I hope that our campaign can sent some hope and love to those needing a helping hand from us. Our campaign has always been supported by individual donors. This time, we would like to extent this opportunity of Doing Good to our corporates, who may want to join us in our journey. Each corporate sponsorship is S$5,000 and that will buy 1000 meals. This sponsorship will be channeled through Singapore Rugby Union for our corporates and donors to avail themselves to the 2.5x tax exemption. Of course, if you would like to give beyond S$5,000, please do so.
