Singapore Rugby Union Medical Team

The Singapore Rugby Union medical team comprises of healthcare professionals from various sectors. We have doctors, physiotherapists, nurses and paramedics who are trained and experienced in sports and rugby specific medical coverage.

The SRU medical team provides coverage for all SRU organized competitions in Singapore as well as locally organized international competitions. These range from school rugby to regional tournaments like the South East Asian 7s tournament as well as tier 1 international events, such as the HSBC World Rugby 7s. Team Physios also cover our National Rugby teams, looking after players during training as well as travelling with teams to tournaments overseas.

With over 30 active World Rugby trained Healthcare professionals, the team provides care for players at tournaments locally as well as overseas.

Some members of our team are also World Rugby trained Medical Educators and Trainers, certified to teach WR medical courses. They not only teach regularly in Singapore but around Asia as well.

SRU Medical aims to promote:

Player welfare as a priority

Education and training for all

A dedicated community for rugby trained medical professionals.

As Rugby continues to develop across Asia, the SRU Medical Team is always looking to boost their numbers.
