Due to the Centaurs Christmas Cup that hosted 143 teams from Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Australia, Hong Kong & Indonesia, Week 3 games were scheduled to play at UWC (Dover), Yio Chu Kang Stadium and Dempsey field. Wanderers look to benefit most from the bad weather break last weekend with a 63-0 thumping of Saints RFC on a cold Thursday night. Saints were unlike the team that stood their ground against SCC in their previous game. Wanderers forward pack led by National representatives Warren Ansell and Alvin Ho stamped their authority right from the get go and dominated every set piece. The persistent Saints side tried to hit back with every opportunity using the flair of their backline but they were equally matched by the resilient Wanderers defence. In the end, Wanderers continued their perfect run at the top of the table while Saints will regroup to face a must win game against Bedok Kings RFC this weekend.

Over at Dempsey field, SCC needed a win with bonus point to keep pace with defending champions Wanderers. Fresh from a one week break, the focused SCC side were brilliant in their support play. The SCC back three combined well throughout the game and managed to score a few tries through hard running and great support play. The sending off to a Kings’ forward added to misery of the blue and red. The final score, 58-0 to SCC.

This weekend will see a must win game for both Bedok Kings and Saints RFC at Yio Chu Kang stadium, 3pm. This game will be livestreamed on SRU Facebook! Well rested Bucks RFC will be travelling to the Padang as they prepare to take on SCC.
