Mr Carlson Lin Chia-Seng: Passed Away 14 December 2011

It is with the greatest sadness that Mr Carlson Lin passed away yesterday afternoon Wednesday, 14th December, in Guangdong, China whilst out “jogging”. Carlson was 69.
Carlson was one of the truly amazing characters of Rugby. We was known wherever he went throughout the whole world. As you all know he was rewarded for his devoted services to the game by receiving the coveted IRB Development Award in 2009.
Carlson’s contribution to rugby, and his great passion in life, “the Referees”, was enormous.
He will be missed incredibly by everyone in the Game.
Our thoughts are with his family.
I am sure that you will join me in paying your respect to a wonderful, wonderful man whom we have all lost.
